A collection of the exercises I've worked on at the Scottish Screen Academy whilst studying Cinematography from Sept '10 to April '11.

Whilst discussing the Courtyard's advertising campaign I suggested it would be a good idea to create a teaser trailer for the restaurant to help build up an online buzz, especially through social networking sites such as their Facebook fan page. Because the restaurant was still being refurbished I filmed exterior shots of the area to help give it a sense of place, as well as some kitchen shots from La Stella solving the inability to show any of the Courtyard's main focus, of course - food.

For my final honours year project I decided to get in touch with Mike Park owner of Asian Man Records. After hearing his new song 'London Is Only A Short Flight Away' and seeing the cartoon of him on his website I could see the potential in a fun animated music video. Taking on all the roles a team of people usually undertake by myself was a relishing challenge - creating the plot, storyboards, illustration, animation and direction, while adhering to a strict project plan. Having never created anything like this before it was a great learning experience.
